Arthur Kapoor has over 17 years of experience in software development, EDI and healthcare transaction processing. He also founded Dimensions Consulting Inc., which developed a client-server model for capturing digitized facilities management floor plans. He has negotiated various mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations in the healthcare industry and is currently an advisor on HIPAA regulations, HL-7 reforms and ANSI implementations. He has a B.S. in Computer Science and an MBA in Marketing from Rutgers University, New Jersey.

In her 20 years of information technology and healthcare experience, she has managed the deployment of systems to support healthcare transaction processing, business intelligence and payer adjudication. She has consulted for numerous multi-national healthcare companies including United Healthcare, Siemens Medical System, Johnson & Johnson healthcare and GE. She has been an advisor for the EDI Coalition of New York and the Mass Health Data Consortium.
Sita built the Med-Link clearinghouse system that started with 2 providers and grew to a 2 million-transaction hub in 3 years. The Clearinghouse provided Batch Claims, On-Line Claims, Claim Status/ERA, Eligibility and Referrals in 1995 to it clients. The clearinghouse solution provided connectivity to Hospitals, Physicians and Dentist to send transaction to other gateways, direct payer and print paper.
Prior to IGI, she was the Chief Information Officer at Med-Link. Sita has a B.S. in Computer Science from Rutgers College, New Jersey and an MS in Computer Science from the Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey.

Samit's expertise lies in the creation and deployment of "Object Models" that can eventually be deployed in the Provider and Employer portals. The models are designed for Eligibility & Benefits and Claims Reporting modules using Rational XDE Modeler, UML and HIPAA guidelines. As an X12 and EDI implementation and issue subject matter expert, he has consulted with many leading Healthcare Companies, including UHC.
Besides the healthcare industry, Samit's experience includes developing complete ERP solution for the manufacturing industry, managing and implementing a talent recruiting application for one of the biggest management consulting firms in New York as well as creating custom built applications for various industries. He also worked as an EDI expert in implementing ERP (SAP) solution for a paper manufacturing organization.
Samit has a B.S. in Physics and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Science Applications. He is also certified as an ABAP/4 programmer from the SAP Partner Academy, Boston. |

He has over 9 years experience educating organizations about the Who, What's and Why's of HIPAA? Currently he is on the Steering Committee of NJSHORE, which is the New Jersey regional WEDI affiliate as well as being involved in the recently formed Committee on Operating Rules for Information Exchange (CORE), operated by CAQH.

Mike presented a series of some of the first HIPAA informational seminars to the ENVOY-NEIC (now Emdeon) network of payers throughout the United States. While at ENVOY-NEIC, he was one of only 4 individuals to serve on the ANSI X12n sub-committee that defined the final HIPAA transaction set for the 278 - Referral Certification and Authorization.
Prior to IGI, Mr. Relli was with ENVOY-NEIC (now Emdeon), Med-Link (now Emdeon/WebMD), MicroHealth (now McKesson).
Mike has a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University.

He has served as a 'HIPAA' and 'Healthcare Claims' Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the SOARIAN Financials Team and has supported the Siemens' Soarian Financial Rule Services Team.

Dr. Budhiraja has experience in managing medium to large teams (20-200 in size) with both onsite and offshore resources and is experienced in System and Business Process re-engineering, and providing strategic direction to various projects. His experience includes extensive experience in defining ISO 9000/CMM based processes and procedures to improve quality of project delivery. He has written several 'Standard Operating Procedures' (SOPs) for entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). He conceived, designed and developed a web (J2EE) based Project Management tool that is a task-based system that allows geographically dispersed teams to collaborate during various phases of SDLC. He is a member of PMI and Healthcare SIG.

Sanjeev holds a Masters in HR, and started his career with Pertech Computers Ltd. (PCL) in 1987 as a Personnel Trainee in New Delhi. He quickly rose to become a Senior Personnel Executive. He has also worked with organizations, such as, Eureka Forbes Ltd. - North India Region, SQL Star International (India) Ltd. - Gurgaon, HCL Technologies - NOIDA, NetAcross Ltd. - Delhi. In 1999, he moved to the US as the HR Head with IRIS Software, Inc. -- an IT Projects & Services Company based out of New Jersey. He spent almost six years there, before joining IGI. |

Karen Scherma with her 25 years of experience is an expert at EDI transactions. Prior to joining IGI, Karen was the Director of NEIC (National Electronic Information Corporation). She has been a Technical liaison between CareInsite and Empire, GHI, HIP and Horizon. She is a former member of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI X12), WEDI and AFHECT. She authored an AFEHCT White Paper used as input to the HIPAA process.
She has been an active member, until 1990, of the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) technical work group responsible for creating the National Standard Format (NSF) for the physician claim and remittance formats. Karen has been an active speaker at two national health care conferences: HIAA & California Managed Care Forum. She has a B.S., Psychology - Brooklyn College and M.A., Counseling and Guidance - New York University, NY. She also has a Certificate, Data Communications - New York University, NY.

His primary responsibility at IGI is to foster the development of a high-availability Internet-oriented network computing infrastructure for ASP solutions.
In 1999 he also developed and taught the first course for Rutgers University Internet Institute that had a partnership with IGI. Bala holds his CCNA and is also a Cisco Instructor qualified to teach in any of its Network Academies. His next Certification is that of CISSP.
He has been instrumental in bringing advanced Internet connectivity to IGI and its offshore development centers, first by overseeing the design and operation of VSNL (the original Internet service provider in the region), and more recently by leading the engineering team responsible for creating the ASP portal hub migration to a level II facility.
